Freeroller - Stand-off
Derived from the Freeroller principle, the Freeroller Stand-off was developed as a ‘clamp-on’ aid to open hole wireline operations. The stand-off is positioned on a pre-machined recess groove, allowing the stand-off to be clamped to the outside of the toolstring. This method greatly reduces the likelihood of differential sticking by keeping the toolstring away from the side wall of the bore.
The slim design rollers ensure preservation of the mud cake as they only displace a narrow groove through the mud. Sticking potential is also minimised by retaining ample flow bypass around the tool.
