ILRT – In-line Running Tool
The Oilenco In-line Running Tool allows the operator to combine the running of the protection sleeve with an additional wireline run.
The in-line running tool is firstly made up to the toolstring. The selected protection sleeve is then slid over the toolstring and located so the sleeve fish neck is positioned at the running tool collet. The collet is then energised and a shear pin inserted in to the running tool to retain the protection sleeve. Once the protection sleeve locates the landing nipple profile, downward jarring will set the protection sleeve. Further downward jarring will release the in-line running tool. Once released, the in-line running tool locks into the closed position and will freely pass through the protection sleeve.
The in-line running tool can be used with any type of protection sleeve and will even retro-fit existing sleeves from other manufacturers.
