Rotator Tool
The Rotator Tool is a slickline tool used to rotate the lower toolstring by up and down linear movement. When the toolstring lands on top of an obstruction in the well, the rotator makes a small right-hand rotation to the toolstring hanging below. When the toolstring is picked up, the rotator makes another right-hand rotation. With every subsequent up/down movement the rotator continues to rotate the toolstring below.
The Rotator Tool will provide fishing tools with the added dimension of rotation, an ideal aid for fish neck engagement or manoeuvring around loose obstructions.
