Wireline Open Hole Roller
PATENT APPLICATION GB0822757.1

The Oilenco Wireline Open Hole Roller is designed to clamp on to the outside of existing wireline logging tools to aid running in and out of the well bore, particularly in higher deviation wells.
The Open Hole Roller was originally conceived to replace conventional open hole stand offs with a system of rollered stand off blades.
Some aspects of open hole logging benefit from standing off from the drilled bore hole, effectively centralising the logging tool. By greatly reducing the physical contact area between the logging string and the well bore, the threat of differential sticking is greatly reduced.
The introduction of rollers to the stand off blades give significant reductions in terms of drag & friction, thereby greatly improving logging tool deployment in high deviation bore holes.
Wireline Open Hole Rollers can be clamped to the logging string at precisely the position needed which best suits the logging tool performance. They can quickly and easily be repositioned up or down the toolstring without breaking connections.
The tool is a simple, mechanical addition for conventional logging tools to optimise deployment and provide the necessary stand off.
