The Oilenco subsea syringe is a downhole safety valve chemical treatment system that provides a method of precisely spotting a concentrated chemical solution between the upper and lower seal bores of a tubing retrievable subsurface safety valve (TRSSSV).
KEY FEATURES
- One run system
- Helps restore functionality of a downhole safety valve
- Ability to carry a large volume of fluid
- Flow tube can be exercised whilst soaking
- Dedicated for subsea operations
Setup and filling of the syringe takes place at surface. Run in via slickline, it lands off on the TRSSSV no-go before compression of the syringe deploys fluid across the safety valve.
Expelling enough chemical to fill to the top of the safety valve, the solution is left to soak. A further stroke down can be completed to expel more chemical, refreshing the solution. This can be completed multiple times in the same run.
Due to its ability to carry a large volume of chemical, the subsea syringe is designed as a one run solution ideal for subsea applications, minimising the number of runs in the well.
